Ippudo's Hakata flagship is the birthplace of one of the world's most recognized ramen brands. Founded in 1985 by Shigemi Kawahara, the original shop revolutionized tonkotsu ramen by making it approachable with a clean, modern atmosphere. The signature Shiromaru (white) and Akamaru (red) bowls showcase the art of Hakata-style thin noodles in a silky pork bone broth.
